Tuesday night I had an opportunity to support WRDSB teachers Scott McKenzie and Megan Lowe at their Coding with Spheros workshop. I appreciate their willingness to share their learning and workshop materials openly through a live streaming broadcast and video recording. The workshop provided a solid instructional framework for curriculum context, activities, problem solving and collaboration.
This version of the video is the presentation portion of the workshop (35 minutes). Markers have been placed in the video to highlight the sub topics.
This has been an amazing week of learning and sharing at WRDSB. Under the leadership of the Digital Learning Steering committee a 3 day event was planned to involve a team from each school attending one of the six half day events to reflect on current status, attend breakout sessions to look at new, innovative and engaging practices, and consider next best steps on a site by site basis.
Today’s post shares the resource Donna Fry and I prepared for our presentation at the OPC 2016 Summer Institute for Technology Enabled Learning where we looked at compelling reason’s for change, the role of technology, using technology examples as ignite topics for discussions, setting new norms, open thinking and online course strategies.
Today’s post shares my resource prepared for #gafesummit London ON (May 28/29, 2016. It was a great day of learning, making new connections and of course had many of those special ‘sparkle’ moments when you meet an online connection face to face for the first time. This particular summit had a special connection for me as a Saunders SS graduate.
