Tuesday night I had an opportunity to support WRDSB teachers Scott McKenzie and Megan Lowe at their Coding with Spheros workshop. I appreciate their willingness to share their learning and workshop materials openly through a live streaming broadcast and video recording. The workshop provided a solid instructional framework for curriculum context, activities, problem solving and collaboration.
This version of the video is the presentation portion of the workshop (35 minutes). Markers have been placed in the video to highlight the sub topics.
This version of the video includes the informal discussions of the “hands on” activities. Markers have been placed in the video for easy scrub through.
Today’s post shares the Cameron Height CI staff and student prepared Remembrance Day Service recording of the livestreamed version.
I was impressed with the service because I thought it pushed the boundaries on the traditional service, was relevant to students and provided meaningful options for students to be involved in impacting people’s lives.
Hats off to the organizers of the Ed Camp Hamilton event – great turn day, great turn out and awesome conversations. I really enjoyed the positive energy of a professional learning event where people chose to attend and brought their opens minds – wonderful!!!
I wanted to share a few resources from the event so that the learning and ideas continue.
The twitter stream is captured online via Storify.
Archives from the live streaming are now up on YouTube. Enjoy these deep conversations:
