There is certainly a lot of thinking, conversation and energy concerning K12 instructional practice right now:  innovate, take risks, leverage technology, collaborate, create content, student voice & choice. Here, here – critically important thinking for moving education to a new and important place.

I would argue that a parallel discussion is alive and well on the business side of K12 education as well. I appreciated the opportunity to participate in the preparation of this article for the OASBO (Ontario Association of School Board Officials) fall publication.
